I have been turning as a hobby for about 10 years and found it a relaxing change from my job. I work from home and have set up a small workshop there. Now that I am retired I am able to exhibit and sell my work at various shows and craft fairs which you can find listed on the 'Events' page.
I am a member of the West Sussex Woodturners club (WSWT) and the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain (AWGB).
I am totally 'self taught' and use the wealth of knowledge and experience of other members of WSWT to progress my turnings. I do not specialise in any one subject but try to have a varied display aimed at all ages.
I like to work with English timbers because of their natural beauty which are enhanced by the use of oils and/or beeswax based polish. I also use re-cycled English oak in the form of fence posts to produce rustic turnings.
